Hi there! I’m Brent Anderson, a live wedding painter based in the heart of West Texas. I’ve been an artist my whole life, though not in the traditional, formally trained sense—my artistry is a God-given gift that I’ve been honing since I was five years old, when I drew my very first bird. My wife, Susan, is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse who keeps everything running smoothly, and most of the time, she’s right there with me at weddings, offering support, encouragement, and sometimes reminding me to breathe.

Our journey into live wedding painting wasn’t exactly planned—it was more like I got a little nudge (okay, a big shove) from my family. You see, about three years ago, my oldest daughter, an incredibly talented floral designer, and my wife started saying, “You need to do Live Wedding Painting.” At the time, I didn’t even know what that was, let alone imagine myself doing it. But they wouldn’t let up.

True to her bold and creative nature, my daughter took matters into her own hands. One day, she told a couple of brides she was working with, “Yes, my dad does live wedding painting!” Before I knew it, I was standing in front of 300 wedding guests, scared to death and completely out of my comfort zone. I wasn’t ready—or so I thought. But something magical happened that day. I realized that painting love stories as they unfold is not just about creating art; it’s about capturing a once-in-a-lifetime moment in a way that words and photographs never could.

Fast forward three years, and wow—what a journey it’s been! From that first nerve-wracking wedding to now traveling far and wide with Susan by my side, painting love stories has become one of the greatest joys of my life. I love witnessing the magic of wedding days—the laughter, the happy tears, and all the little details that make each couple’s day uniquely theirs. There’s something so special about freezing those moments in time with brushstrokes, knowing that the painting I create will be a cherished memory for years to come.

When I’m not at weddings, I’m spending time with my amazing family. Susan and I have three wonderful children and two precious grandbabies who light up our lives. Family is at the heart of everything we do, and that sense of love and togetherness is something I bring to every painting I create.
